Catherine has been a practicing professional artist since the mid-1980's. Most of her paintings are of the mountains and coastal areas of the West Coast of British Columbia where she was born and raised. The wildlife that frequents these beautiful areas, such as local birds and waterfowl, are often a part of these paintings.
She is an Associate of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and holds memberships in the Colour Pencil Society of America, the South Surrey White Rock Art Society, Fine Art America, and the Mondial Art Academia (France). She also is an Honourary Member of the Drawing Society of Canada.
Catherine serves on the Board of Directors of the Plein Air Art Society, and has had one of her designs featured by Rogers' Chocolates Ltd., of Victoria, B.C., on their Christmas gift tin packaging.
Teaching and painting in both oils, acrylics and coloured drawing have been a major part of Catherine's art career for many years.
